TESTIMONIAL

Our client testimonial

What Is WSIB Physiotherapy and Chiropractic Care?

WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) physiotherapy and chiropractic care are services approved for workers who experience injuries or conditions related to their job. If your claim is accepted, WSIB covers the cost of assessment and treatment, allowing you to focus on recovery without financial strain.

At Ottawa Health, WSIB physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement, strength, and function after a workplace injury. Chiropractic care emphasizes joint mechanics, movement, and neuromuscular coordination to address pain patterns linked to work-related strain or trauma.

Eligibility typically applies if:

  • The injury occurred during work duties
  • Symptoms developed due to repetitive tasks or prolonged strain
  • A WSIB claim has been opened or approved

If you’re unsure about eligibility, our team can guide you through the process and help confirm next steps.

How Does Our WSIB Treatment Approach Work?

Every WSIB case begins with a detailed assessment that aligns clinical findings with workplace demands. At Ottawa Health, care plans are built around what your job actually requires—not generic exercises or timelines.

Your WSIB treatment process includes:

Initial assessment and functional evaluation

Goal-based physiotherapy or chiropractic sessions

Gradual progression tied to job-specific tasks

Ongoing updates shared with WSIB case managers

Discharge planning and return-to-work support

Physiotherapy may include guided movement, strengthening, mobility work, and functional retraining. Chiropractic care may involve joint mobilization and movement-based strategies. When appropriate, both services work together to support a smoother recovery path.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WSIB Physiotherapy & Chiropractor Ottawa FAQs

What Is WSIB and How Does It Support Injured Workers?

WSIB, or the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, provides coverage for workers who experience injuries or conditions related to their job. Once a claim is approved, WSIB covers treatment costs, supports return-to-work planning, and helps coordinate communication between healthcare providers, employers, and case managers.

You may be eligible if your injury occurred at work or developed due to repetitive job tasks. A WSIB claim must be submitted and approved. Eligibility does not depend on job type, hours worked, or length of employment, as long as the injury is work-related.
Starting treatment as soon as possible after a workplace injury is strongly recommended. Early care helps address movement limitations, reduce compensations, and establish a clear recovery plan. Prompt treatment also supports smoother communication with WSIB and helps prevent delays in your rehabilitation process.
Yes, in many cases WSIB allows access to both physiotherapy and chiropractic care when clinically appropriate. Combining services can support different aspects of movement and joint function. Your treatment plan is developed based on assessment findings and WSIB guidelines.
